Our purpose
Through our unique Ohi Data Navigator tool, and our impact and evaluation services, we help non-profits, community groups, schools, Iwi, and others to access, understand and use data to talk about and increase their impact.
Our model is grounded in experience of the community sector, embedded in a Māori Data Governance framework, and founded on our commitment to supporting communities to tell their own story.
Our services
Ohi Impact provides a range of services that can support your organisation to access, make sense of, and use data to tell your story, so that you can talk about the difference you're making, and increase your impact.
Impact mapping
We support you to articulate what you are trying to achieve and how you might measure it along the way, including talking to funders.
Impact asssessment
We support you to understand, measure and articulate your impact, for example by producing a report that you can use with your stakeholders, including funders.
Ohi Data navigator tool
We provide access to New Zealand government data which can help you to understand the communities you serve, target the services and interventions you provide, and measure the difference you are making.
About the Ohi Data Navigator tool
This tool was developed by Te Rourou, the One NZ Foundation (formerly, Vodafone Foundation) to support the for-purpose organisations they work with to access data about the communities they serve, and to measure their impact.
The tool provides access to anonymised data gathered by the New Zealand government as part of the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI), and has a specific focus on measures of deprivation and exclusion of 12 - 24 year olds across Aotearoa New Zealand.
In 2025, Te Rourou gifted the tool to Ohi Impact with the goal of increasing its use across the community sector.
